EARLY ELECTION NOT EXPECTED

MR C. A. WILKINSON'S VIEWS

(PEI33 ASSOCIATIOB TILZGIAM.)

ELTHAM. November 15.

Interviewed, Mr C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., said there was little prospect of an> early election. In fact, he would not be surprised to find another postponement. The Government might contend that it had insufficient time to complete its policy measures. Asked if this indicated a dictatorship, Mr Wilkinson replied that we had it already in a veiled form. An open dictatorship would be an improvement under the right type of dictator, but the risk was a supreme one, and the dictator could only be removed by force. Hence the present trend of events gave cause for considerable apprehension Mr Wilkinson said his intention not to seek re-election remained unchanged.
