CANTERBURY LAND BOARD
+ The ordinary monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in the District Lands and Survey Offlce, Durham street, Christchurch. There were present: Mr J. F. Quinn (chairman), Messrs E. Macdonald T. Gee, D. C. Kidd, and R. F. Henderson. . , , In all, 100 cases were consideied, including three applications for land, and eight applications for transfers of holdings. The following applications for transfer were approved:—Section V2., Tarhai Hamlet, block XII., Christchurch survey district, mortgagee of W. Dempsey to P. D. Ewen; section 0, Maytown, block XV., Waimate survey district, mortgagee of J. Frewen, deceased, to W. H., J. J- and 1. *• Frewen; section 1, Pareora No. «. settlement, block VII., Otaio . survey district, R. P. Thompson to I. M. and R. C. H. Thompson. The following applications for land were approved:—Section 3, block 111., Hinds township, sold to J. Gray; section 2, Block XXI., Hinds township, sold to G. S. Thompson; section 10 and part section 5. Valverde settlement, leased to R. B. Pawsey. The chairman reported that Mr D. C. Kidd had been re-elected unopposed as Crown tenants' representative on thc board.
