NEW FINANCIAL SCANDAL
PARIS SENSATION POLITICAL REACTIONS POSSIBLE (CHTTED PRESS ASSOCIATION —BT ELECTKIO TELEOBAI'U—COPYBIGHT.) (Received November 12, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, November 11. A new financial scandal, which the newspapers declare may have political reactions, broke out with the arrest of Joseph Levy, director of a finance company which lias specialised in buying claims for compensation for war damage. Many claimants handed over their bonds, which Levy allegedly sold or pledged to cover private debts. The losses of creditors are estimated at £ 1,000,000. Levy, whose rise to a position of power has been dramatic, says he is able to meet all claims.
