NEW ZEALAND'S OVERSEAS TRADE
TO TUB EDITOJI OF THE Pr.ESS. Sir,—Can you tell me whether the "Kaye Hoe" who, in "The Press" this morning, asks where these sterling balances (meaning the London bnlances) are, is the same "Kaye Hoe" who, a fortnight ago, said that the London balances are purchased and held by the Reserve Bank? If they are one and the same, the change of front would indicate that the cocksureness with which he set out to put me right on the exchange question is beginning to evaporate. Perhaps he overheard too many caustic remarks on the absurdities with which he crammed his previous letter. I did not reply to it for I felt sure that the majority of your readers were quite capable of correctly sizing up the value of the opinions so freely offered by a correspondent who does well to remain anonymous.—Yours, etc., W. B. BRAY. November 12, 1934.
