FIRST ASCENT OF MOUNT GREENLAW The last virgin peak in the Arthur's Pass National Park, the lower peak of Mount Greenlaw (7500 ft), was climbed by Messrs S. Brookes and A. S. Logan, of Rangiora, during the week-end. ABOVE: One of the climbers resting on the summit ridge of the lower peak. BELOW: Rock massifs below the high peak. On the extreme left can be seen the snow slope connecting the two peaks and used by the party for the descent to the base camp.
