Lelth has reported that she expects to arrive ih pott to*ffl6froW evening from England., She will replace H.M.S. Veronica as the sloop of the Imperial division of the Koyal Navy on the New Zealand station. Captain Oliver, Bevir is in coinmand, attd has with him the following officers:—Lieutenant C. H. C. Singleton, Lieutenant C. A. C. Montgomery, Sur-geon-Lieutenant C. D. D. Ie Labilliere, and SUb-Lieutehant N, SCOtt Elliott. Captain Bevir Was Originally a KUnnery officer, and received has seniority oft September 21,1981 He has Served for considerable periods with the navy in the Far East. • After a few days at Devonport, cleaning up after he? trip and landing supplies for th& New Zealand station, the Leith will proceed to the Haufaki Gulf for exercises. It is expected that she Will act as part of the escort for H.M.A.S. Australia between December 18 and January 15 oil the occasion of the visit of the Duke of Gloucester.
