ACCOUNTANT SENTENCED
THEFT FROM POWER BOARD (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) AUCKLAND, November" 12. A sentence of two years' reformative detention was passed on Francil Joseph Cramp by Mr Justice Herdman to-day. Cramp, while accountant of the Central Waikato Power Board, stole £716. His counsel said Cramp was a married man with three young children. The punishment imposed would cause most suffering to the wife and family. His Honour said that always happened. He always felt sorry for the dependents of offenders, but that could not be considered in inflicting punishment. Cramp had been in a position of trust. His wage was £7, and he had been receiving £l5O to £2OO yearly from his mother.
