BACK FROM AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND FARMERS IMPRESSED (PBKS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) AUCKLAND, November 12. A party of 16 farmers, mostly from Waikato, return by the Niagara to-day, after a tour of 3000 miles in New South Wales and Victoria. They were delighted by the wonderful hospitality they received, particularly from members of the Primary Producers' Union. The organiser said all formed the opinion that New Zealanders were better farmers than the Australians, who gave much less attention to topdressing. Among the places visited was a poultry farm with 75,000 hens which averaged 55,000 eggs daily all the year round. They also saw a farm owned by the Melbourne Board of Works and irrigated by the city's sewage. It comprised 23,000 acres, and carried 32,000 sheep, 1600 cattle, and 1000 horses, but these could not keep the grass down.
