* DAMAGE TO HOUSE INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED Incendiarism is suspected as the cause of a fire that broke out in an unoccupied five-roomed house earlj yesterday morning. In the two from rooms small fires had been started and, though one had gone out the other was burning inside the walls and in the back, rooms, the dining room and bedrooms, sacking soaked in kerosene was found. The Central Fire Brigade receivec a call at 4.19 a.m. to 196 Norwood street, Beckenham, where the kitchet: and rear of the house were found tc be on fire. It was badly damaged by heat and smoke, though the brigade soon had the flames under control. The ownership of the house could not be ascertained last night, nor was there any idea of the insurance, iJ any, on the building. OUTBREAK IN HEDGE A small outbreak of fire occurred ir a macrocarpa hedge at the corner o: Springfield road and Derby stree shortly after 6 o'clock on Saturdaj evening. The Central Fire Brigade was called out and the blaze wai quickly extinguished.
