At a devotional service broadcast by IYA Auckland last week, in place of the usual recorded hymns, two solos were sung by the Rev. T. G. Carr, a retired Methodist minister, now living in Mount Eden, who is in his eightyninth year. In spite of his advanced years, his voice retains a surprising clearness and strength, and his solos. "Calvary" and "O Rest in the Lord." were an excellent contribution to the service.
