♦ ARRANGEMENTS MADE FOR COMING TOURS ITINERARY FOR CANADIAN . SCHOOLBOYS iI'KESS ASSOCIATIOX I£LEO*AU.) WELLINGTON, November 6. The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night received a cablegram from Dr. A. S. Lamb, manager of the team of 12 Canadian schoolboy athletes, stating that the team would leave Sydney by the ■ Maunganui on November 21, joining the Aorangi at Auckland on December 11. The council arranged for the party to compete at Wellington cn December 1. at Rotorua on December 4, and at Auckland on December 8. The council also received an application from the Auckland Centre for | permission to invite a team of Vic- j torian athletes to tour the Auckland : province from February 9 to February 23. The team suggested was Woodhouse, McLardy, and Coleman. While expressing appreciation of the enterprise of the centre, the council, in view of the proposed English tour, decided to hold the matter over. The revival of regular contests between Australian and New Zealand athletes, which have been dropped since the Australian athletic championships lapsed in 1927. was suggested by the Canterbury Centre. The council decided to reopen the matter with the Amateur Athletic Association of Australia. and also to ask for further information about the invitation for a New Zealand team to visit Australia during the Centenary celebrations.
