Y.M.C.A. ORCHESTRA
*0 THX KDITOB 0* THE l>n*S9. Sir,—Would someone kindly tell me through the medium of "The Press" what has happened to the Young Men's Christian Association orchestra? The subscribers are, I believe, entitled to three concerts during the year, but last year only one was given. Uj>on making enquiries I was told that the two remaining concerts would be given this year; but up to date there has been only one, and now I hear the orchestra has disbanded.—Yours, etc.. SUBSCRIBER. October 31, 1934. L"lt would have been easy for "Subscriber" to obtain any information from the Young Men's Christian Association," said Mr A. J. McEldowney, general secretary of the association, when commenting on this letter. He said the orchestra had been disbanded chiefly because sickness had made it difficult to hold practices. The secretary of the orchestra was communicating with the few subscribers.]
