DRUNK AT RACES
£IOO IN NOTES IN POCKET "One of the more fortunate ones," said Senior-Sergeant J. Fox in describing the experiences of a first oflender for drunkenness to Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. The senior-sergeant said that two detectives outside the Racecourse notel had noticed the accused, who seemed to be drunk. He was well dressed. Several men thereabouts were paying him attention. A constable was then called who arrested him. It was found that he had about £IOO in notes in his pockets. He was fined 20 shillings and ordered to pay costs.
