After he had heard evidence, Mr E Page, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, reserved his decision on a series of charges arising out of the conduct of. the Crow's Nest Night C:ub, Island Bay. The proprietor, Stanley Dowdall List, was charged with selling liquor in a no-license district 'two charges), keeping premises aj a resort for the consumption of liquor in a no-license district (three charges), and trading on Sunday. William Bowes Bandy was charged with selling liquor without a license, a,nd aiding the offence of keeping premises for the consumption of liquor 'three charges). Charges of selling liquor without a license and aiding and abetting the commission of an offence were also preferred against Archibald Crawford. The defendants pleaded act guilty to all the charges.
