The Karepo was to have left Greymouth on Sunday for Sydney, thence to Newcastle to load for Auckland and Napier. The Kartigi left Bluff on Monday for Greymouth to load for Melbourne. Miss Dorothy Paterson, a hospital patient, was carried by air from Christchurch to Invercargill yesterday by Mr S. Gilkison, of the-South-land Aero Club, in the club's Fox Moth. Mis*s Paterson, who is the only woman pilot of the Southland Aero, Club, was taken to Wigram Aerodrome by ambulance and was made comfortable in the cabin of the machine with rugs and cushions. Mr D. Kain. of Cromwell, a member of the Canterbury Aero Club, has passed the flying tests for his license as an aeroplane pilot in an examination conducted by Squadron Leader J. L. Findlay. He is the eighth pupil of the club to qualify for a license since May. Mr R. A. Kirkup was his instructor.
