The state of the rabbitskin market vas discussed by Mr Max Liebman. of New York, a through passenger on the Mariposa. Mr Liebman is making his Fifteenth voyage to Australia, and is one of the largest American buyers of rabbitskir.s. The extent of his business can be gauged from his purchase last year of 0.000,000 rabbitskin? from the Commonwealth. "Prices have risen 200 per cent. higher than they were two years ago, when they were at the lowest in the history of the industry," said Mr Liebman. "New Zealand is steadily increasing her output, there being twice as man:' sold last year as in the previous vear." Mr Liebman said that, while prices might remain firm for a time, he advised caution in speculative buying.
