RATIONED WORK FOR TEACHERS

Details of the school teachers employed in the Auckland Education Board's district under the Education Department's rationing scheme were given to members of the board to-day. The secretary, Mr Dunlop, said that teachers employed under the rationing scheme totalled 4CI. "I think we should make representations to the department concerning married men who are employed under the rationing scheme." said'Mr S. P.. Sim«. "Sixty pounds a year is absurd." Mr G. E Spoor.cr paid that as several rationed teachers earned permanent positions each month, and thus came of! the rationing scheme, it should be possible to use the money thus saved in increasing the pay of those teachers remaining under the scheme. The chairman said that lie would be seeing the Director of Education at Wellington and would put the sungestion before him.
