"ANDROCLES AND THE LION"
; J :bf. IDi'.'jß Of : }>r V 3 f- 5 ? Sir.—l read that Station 3ZM will broadcast Bernard Shaw's "Androcles and the Lion" on Sunday evening. Since we so seldom have the chance of hearing or seeing Shaw's plays, would it not be possible to have ;t rebroadcast from the YA stations? It is to be hoped that interest in th fi author's work "will bo stimulated by his visit to New Zealand. I should like to say how much I have enjoyed the Air Institute's programmes from 3ZM 011 Sunday evenings during t!v last few weeks. Last week's play I thought excellent, and I hope to hear manv more.—Yours, etc.. LISTENER. March 21, 1931. ;Mr J. Mackenzie, station director of 3YA, made the brief reply last night that it would not be possible for the YA stations to rebroadcast the play.]
