It was decided to thank the companv for its offer and to suggest that Mr Guild be asked to attend the April meeting of the association. The secretary was congratulated on the efforts he 'had made on the association's behalf and it was decided to send copies of the correspondence to the Southland association, which was also vitally interested in representation. Cricket Mr W. W. Grant presided u\er a meeting of the match committee of the South Canterbury Cricket Association. The Ashburton Association advised that the Ashburton Club's B team had won the association's first grade competition and would represent Ashburton in the Bristol Cup competition.
