DOWAGER QUEEN DEAD

The death has occurred of Emma, Dowager Queen of Holland. I William Ilf.. King of the Netherlands from 1817 to 1890, had two son? by his marriage with Sophia of Wurttemberg, but both of them died unmarried. The prospect of a disputed succession was fortunately averted by the marriage of the King in 1879 with the Princess Emma of Waldeek-Pyr-mont. From this union a daughter was born in 1880—Wilhelmina, the present Queen of the Netherlands. The Dowager Queen was born on August 2. 18a8, the daughter of Prince George Victor of Waldeck.l
