N.Z. EMERGING FROM DEPRESSION
AUSTRALIAN MINISTER'S OPINION (Received February 12, 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 12. Mr F. 11. Stewart (Minister for Commerce), who returned from New Zealand to-day, declined to indicate the result of his negotiations with the New Zealand Government until his report was placed before the Cabinet. Marty matters had been discussed, and he was hopeful that the results would be beneficial, r.nd that an Australian trade commissioner would be appointed. Mr Stewart said he considered New Zealand was plainly emerging from the depression.
