VICTORIAN BUSH FIRES
♦ FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE ISOLATED MELBOURNE. February 12. Bush fires are still raging in Victorian country settlements. The most serious is at Beech Forest, where settlers arc cut off. In the Lavers Hill and Glen Aire districts about 500 people are isolated, and if there is no news of them by to-day an attempt will be made to get food and medical supplies through to them.
