MANY BEQUESTS

MORE THAN £2750 FOR CHARITY MISS ELIZABETH SLATER'S WILL A lung and varied list ot bequests is contained in the will of Miss Elizabeth Slater, of Holly road. St. Albans, who died last week. Bequests amounting to £2750 are made to 19 institutions, and the residue of the estate is to be divided upon trust, between two institutions in Great Britain. The specified bequests range from £25 to £SOO, and the Public Trustee, as executor and trustee, has to attend to the distribution.

I The bequests are as follows: — The sum of £2OO to the church wardens of St. Matthew's Church of England. St. Albans, for the general purposes of the church. The sum of £IOO to the Salvation Army. Christchurch. 'Die sum'of £IOO to the New Zealand Anglican Board of Missions, to be applied for or towards the general purposes of the Melanesian Mission. The sum of £25 to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Christchurch. The sum of £IOO to the Cholmondelev Memorial Home, Governor's Bav. The sum of JL 100 to the Young Men's Christian Association, Christchurch. The sum of £IOO to (he Young Women's Christian Association, Christchurch. The sum of £IOO to the Presbyterian Social Service Association, Christchurch. The sum of £25 to the North Canterbury Hospital Board for the general purposes of the Jubilee Home.
