THE RATIONED TEACHERS
SCHEME WELL RECEIVED .MINISTER PLEASED "It is pleasing to know how well the scheme has been received throughout the whole of New Zealand by parent.-;, education boards, and teachers," said the Minister for Education (the Hon. R. Masters! when speaking to a reporter of "The Press" yesterday about the Government's scheme for rationing teachers.
Mr Masters said that every district had absorbed the whole of the unemployed certificated teachers
whose numbers ranged from about 70 in the Nelson district to 580 in the Auckland district. The education board;-, placed the teachers wherever they could be accommodated, and the headmasters fitted them in according to the; organisation of the school and the qualifications of the teacher::.
