NO RECOVERY PLAN FOR CANADA
♦ MR BENNETT'S STATEMENT TORONTO, February 6. Disposing of rumours that Canada was to imitate Mr Roosevelt's recovery plan, Mr R. B. Bennett (Prime Minister) told the Board of Trade that the Government refused to be spectacular. The only t/ungs ahead of Canadians, he said, were thrift and hard work.
