NEARLY 10,000 DEATHS
REVIEW OF EFFECTS OF INDIAN EARTHQUAKE CALCUTTA, February 6. According to an official statement there were 7000 deaths in Bihar and 2800 in Nepal in the recent earthquake. The damage in Bihar is incalculable, and at Nepal it is estimated at £750,000. The Governor of Bihar declares that many years and enormous sum:; of money will be required before the prosperity of the province is restored.
