THE AIR FORCE
MACHINE GUN PRACTICE
Machine-gun practice was carried out by the No. 4 Squadron of the New Zealand Air Force yesterday, the shooting being done at Lake Ellesmere. An Air Force Moth machine equipped with wireless was flown to Mosgiel, the base for co-operation work with the Twelfth Field Battery at Sutton. The machine was piloted by Flight Lieutenant R. J. Sinclair. When the machine left Christchurch it had Sutton as its destination, but heavy rain in Central Otago forced it to stop at Mosgiel.
