FUNERAL
Mil YV. A. BRISCOE The iuncral of Mr William Arthur Briscoe, chairman of directors of Briscoe and Company, Ltd., took place at the Bromley Cemetery yesterday morning, and was attended by members of the firm, business associates and friends. Mr Briscoe died in Christchurch last Saturday at the age of 74 while making a tour of the branches of his firm in New Zealand. The Rev. J. T. vicar of St. John's, Latimer square, conducted the service at. the graveside. Among those present were:—Messrs A. G. Graham (managing director, Briscoe and Company, Ltd., New Zealand), Hugh Anderson (chairman, Briscoe. Mills, and Company, Wellington), V/. L. Jarman (manager Briscoe and Company, Ltd., Christchurch) Ailcheson ' Chri.-tehurch Hardware Association). S. Williams (Iron and Steel Company)- G. H. Congreve i formerly of Briscoe and Company, Ltd.), William Morley (chairman, A. and T. Burt and Company, Ltd.), Norton Francis, Heathcote Helmore, G. M. Smith (John Burns and Company, Ltd.), W. Congreve, F. W. Anderson (Andersons, Ltd.), E. Reed, S. Watson, T. O'Keefe and C. Butcher (staff, Briscoe and Company, Ltd.), E. T. Recce, A. C. Wall and Dr. R. H. Baxter.
