LOWER FARES FOP. THE FAMILY
TRAMWAY BOARD'S MOVE. With "back to the trams' as their slogan and as their first move in a new progressive policy, the Tramway Board announce cheaper excursion fares from January 3rd until January 31st. It is many years since tram excursion rates have been so low and the definite benefits of the big cash savings are offered to every family. To or from Redcliffs, North Beach and New Brighton 7d return for adults —to or from Sumner 9d return for adults, with a return fare of 3d for children on all of these lines. These are the new fares, and it is anticipated that the big inducements they offer in cheaper transport' will result in a heavier volume of passenger traffic during the school holidays. There are fast and frequent services to and from all beaches, and seaside residents can also take advantage oi the new excursion rates if they wish to take a Irip to town. —1
