CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
TO THE EDITOR Or TUj5 PRESS. Sir,—As an outsider in the above discussion, one cannot but notice how those in opposition and the followers of Christian Science are getting hot under the collar. Surely Christian Scientists are entitled to their beliefs as much as the critics are to theirs, and I have yet to meet a Christian Scientist who will decry another religion. There must be something in their belief when Christian Science organisations are to be found in all parts of the world and without any inducements, their numbers seem to be increasing. When Mr List, the district governor of Rotary in New Zealand, gave an address to the Business Men's Club in Christchurch on his return from America, he said that there was only one honest paper in that country, and that was the "Christian Science Monitor." Although I have never been to any Christian Science meetings, I would suggest that the critics go along, and may be those that go to scoff will remain to pray. A little more Christian charity is needed in these disturbing days.— Yours, etc., TOLERANT. December 8. 1933. 'Hi mr. idi'iur ojr the 1 imp*. Sir,—l would like to say that I appreciated the letter signed "Millennium." It is a good testimony. It is a deplorable fact that people are gulled by these "false prophets and teachers." There is only one "Mediator," God's Son, Jesus Christ. The new and living way of salvation is through His atoning work on Calvary's Cross and through His resurrection we have a living redeemer, and thanks be to God for the reality of His promise, "Lo, I am with you alway."—Yours, etc SATISFIED. December 8, 1933. ,
[Unless D. Hoskyn, who inititiated it, wishes to reply this correspondence is now closed.—Ed.. "The Press."!
