o HOPES FOR SETTLEMENT IN DOMINIONS LAUSANNE, December 7. Dr. C. Weizmann, president of the English Zionist Federation, giving evidence before the League of Nations Commission for the organisation of international assistance to i Jewish refugees from Germany, revealed that he had discussed the problem of settling Jews in the Dominions with Mr J. H. Thomas, Secretary of State for the Dominions. He hoped that an outlet would be found for them, especially in Australia and South Africa.
