ATTACK ON IRISH DANCE HALL
FIVE WOUNDED BY SHOTS L.'MTEI) IRELAND PARTY MEMBERS (Received October 17, 11.50 p.m.) DUBLIN, October 17. A sensational attack was made on a dance hall in Ballingar, County Galwny, while 100 members o'f the United Ireland party were dancing'. •Shots were fired through the windows and five fell, wounded. The attack lasted for half an hour. The police searched the district without result. Armed men barricaded the road to Mallow with trees, stopping a van carrying the "Cork Examiner'* newspaper. They forced the driver to depart, burned the newspapers, and riddled the tyres and petrol tank with bullets.
