ADDINGTON METHODIST CIRCUIT
QUARTERLY MEETING
The quarterly meeting of the Addington Methodist Circuit was held in. the Lincoln road schoolroom, the Rev. C. B. Jordan presiding. Votes of sympathy were passed to the relatives of Mrs Comber, sen., Miss Edith Clement, Miss Eileen Hodge, and Miss Mary Smith, and also to Mrs McFarlane (Sister Bessie), in her present serious illness. It was decided to accept the offer of assistance from the Circuit Women s Missionary auxiliary in a garden party effort, the proceeds to be divided between the circuit and the missionary funds. A Sunday's offerings were granted to the Union Sunday school on the occasion of its anniversary, and retiring collections to the orphanage and the Union Church choir. The membership returns showed: Seniors 2do, juniors 125, infants 09. Good reports were received from the Sunday schools I and Bible classes. 1 Mr Jordan accepted a unanimous lnl vitation to remain in the circuit for i another year, his ability as a preacher I and his editorship of the circuit paper | receiving special commendation.
