Entries for the Ashburton show close on Friday next, October 20, and for the Rangiora show on Tuesday, October 24. For the Courtenay show, to be held at Kirwee on November 18, entries close on November 4. A gala will be held in the Ashburton Domain on Labour Day. Two New Zealand cycling championships will be decided, and there will be an axemen's carnival in the evening. A spexial train service with reduced fares has been arranged for visitors from Christchurch.
