GIRLS' SPORTS DAY ASSOCIATION
—, Further arrangements were made at a meeting of the Chrlstchurch Girls' Sports Association last night for the sports which will b'e held on November 4 Mrs F. Thomson (vice-presi-dent) presided. Nine teams were represented. ~,.,, * It was decided to hold the. sports at the show grounds, as previously suggested . , A letter was received from the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) stating that he. would be present to open the sports. _ A reply was received from Mr Denys Hoare, president of the Rotary Club, accepting the invitation to present the trophies. „„ _, . , It was reported that 17 teams had registered. Practices will be held at Latimer square every Thursday evening at 5.15.
