SUDDEN DEATH
INQUEST AT SOUTH BRTDGE George Schroeder, of Grcenpark. a single man. aged 29, collapsed and died suddenly at the house of Mr T. 13. F.owson. al Southbridgo, on Sunday evenins. An inquest was held at Southbridge yesterday before the Coroner, Mr H. A. Young, whose verdict was that Schroeder'.s death was the result of rnyo-carditis. Evidence was given that Schroeder, who was an apparently strong man, and who had formerly taken a failpart in athletics, lived with his parents at Greenpark. On Sunday he was visiting Mr Howson, where the members of the family were enjoying some music. At 9.30 p.m., Schroeder, who was sitting in a chair, collapsed. The others in the room thought he had fainted, but they found that he was dead. Dr. E. W. Hunt, of Southbridge, who was sent for immediately, said that his examination of the body showed that Schroeder had been suffering from chronic rnyo-carditis. The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
