ARCHBISHOPRIC REFUSED
CANON HOW'S DECISIONLONDON, October 13. Canon J. A. How, rural dean of Liverpool North, has refused the Archbishopric of Brisbane. Canon How said, "I have consulted several persons who are thoroughly acquainted with Brisbane, and they are emphatic that the position cannot be undertaken by a married man with a .family unless he possesses private means. I must, therefore, regretfully decline, having no alternative." ________—.
