AMERICAN LABOUR'S BOYCOTTS

EXTENSION OF MOVE AGAINST GERMANY (Received October 15, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 13. The American Federation of Labour to-day declared a boycott against all goods made in Germany and other countries of which the Governments have opposed free trade unions. The boycott was approved with only one dissenting vote among 600 delegates. Originally planned for Germany alone, the boycott was extended to Italy, Russia, and China, when the resolutions committee reported that it would be unwise to single out one government. The committee's report mentioned the "Government of Italy, with its fascism, Russia, with its communism, and China, with its chaos." GERMANY ONLY TO BE AFFECTED (Received October 15, 8.21 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 13. The resolution of the American Federation of Labour was clarified by Mr William Green, the president, who explained that while the adoption of the committee's report was regarded as condemnation of the labour policies of Russia, Ital" and China, the boycott itself would be directed effectively only against Germany.
