OUTBREAK OF TYPHOID AMONG MAORIS
TWENTY CASES AT PURAMAHOI (riIKS.I ASSOCIATION TEUiU HAII.I NELSON, October 14. Twenty cases of typhoid have occurred among the Maoris at Puramahoi, in the Takaka district. It is understood that the infection arose from a tangi held a month ago. Maoris were present from all parts of New Zealand. Every effort is being made to trace the contacts. Only one European is affected.
