The Lyttelton Ladies' Hockey Club held a flannel dance in the Excelsior Hall on Saturday evening. There was a moderate attendance. Music was provided by the Herdman-Fisk orchestra, and novelties were held. There was a good attendance of active and honorary members of the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade at * a social and dance held in the brigade's social room on Saturday night.
