£,, MAN ARRESTED ON WANGANELLA (Received October 13, 5.5 p.m.) | SYDNEY, October 13. i Horace John Algar, aged 42, a company manager, was charged in the Central Court to-day with stealing £143 3s 6d from Raymond Swanger and others at Wellington. Algar was arrested on board the Wanganella. The court made an order that the defendant should be handed over to custody for return to New Zealand. [lt was reported from Sydney on October 4 that the water police boarded the WanganeUa in the harbour and arrested a passenger who was alleged to be an official in a shipping office in New Zealand, on a charge of stealing £143. The police acted on wireless instructions received a few hours before the vessel arrived.]
