AUSTRALIAN FLOODS
SYDNEY, October 4. Flood waters descended on Gunnedah last night when the Namoi river burst its banks close to the main street, flooding the lower portion of the town. Dozens of houses are under water and boats had a busy time taking people to higher ground. An undetermined number of sheep and cattle was drowned.
