Stabilisation of the dollar was discussed by high American officials to-day as an inevitably important factor in the approaching British debt, negotiations. It is said that the amount and method of the British payment could not be considered without a thorough canvass of the effect upon the relationship between the dollar and the pound. No agreement upon stabilisation of the dollar and sterling could be undertaken at the debt conferences, though a discussion of the point was unavoidable, it was said.
