CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH j Another match for the Canterbury amateur billiards championship was played last evening at the WorkingMen's Club, when H. McLean (Returned Soldiers' Club) 500, defeated L. Blackaby (Marist Club), 327. McLean j played a fine game, and made a break i of 85, a new record for the championship. His breaks included 30, 23, 85, and 37. Blackaby's best breaks were 28 and 25. Draw for Second Round. The following is the draw and the places for the second round of the championship:— A. Phillips v. S. Humphries, at Lyttelton Club, 7.30 to-night. Referee, Mr W. Smith. A. Albertson v. F. A. Khouri, at Tramway Club, 7.30 p.m. to-morrow. Referee, Mr Hoff. A. McKay v. H. McLean, Commercial j Travellers' Club, Monday, September - 18. Referee, Mr King. !' <T. Mai'tin v. W.
