THREE OPERATIONS AT SEA
* MONOWAPS VOYAGE VICTORIA (8.C.), September 7. The Monowai which has arrived here, reported that three operations had been held at sea. Mr E. H. Heather, of Auckland, chief wireless operator, was operated on for appendicitis, and is making good progress. Mickey Rooke, of Wellington, a ship's steward, had abdominai trouble, and is still ill with complications. Henry Boltwood, aged 71 vears, of Innisfail, Alberta, had appendicitis, and is making good progress. The operations were performed by Ur. «w5. Mason, the ship's surgeon, assisted by volunteer nurses and stewards.
