MURDERED INDIAN MAGISTRATE
—-—« . TOUR VOLUNTEERS FOR POST CALCUTTA, September 7. Four British members of the Bengal service, in a letter to the Governor, have volunteered to act as magistrate at Midnapore, where three magistrates have been murdered in the last three years. No appointment has yet been made. Troops and armed police have started a new comb-out in Midnapore. Many houses occupied by doctors and barristers have been searched.
