KIDNAPPING IN AMERICA.
DEATH SENTENCE IMPOSED. KANSAS CITY, July 27. Walter McGee was sentenced to death to-day by a criminal court jury, which convicted him of kidnapping Miss Mary McElroy, daughter of the city manager of Kansas city. It is the first case in which the extreme penalty has been given in the present American crusade against kidnappers, and one of the few in history to bring the death sentence where the victim was unharmed.
