KICKED BY RACEHORSE.
♦ CLAIM FOR DAMAGES FAILS. (rKESS ASSOCIATION - TZLEUKAK.) AUCKLAND, July 27. Following injuries suffered through being kicked by the racehorse Sir Val, ; a claim for damages was brought ; n the Magistrate's Court to-day by Spenceley Walker, schoolmaster of Mount Eden, against William Curhara and Clarence Curham, owner and trainer respectively of Sir VaL Plaintiff was going to the races at Ellerslie on Easter Saturday. He was approaching the entrance to the h:li with his wife when a horse was led ! out. It reared back, and plaintiff - turned slightly at the noise, and wai i struck on the side of the face. The ■ accident was witnessed by a traflic »a----1 spector. Plaintiff was non-suited with '_ costs.
