COLLIE TRIALS.

CHEVIOT CLUB. A meeting of the Cheviot Collie Club was held in the Public hall, the president, Mr P. F. Childs, presiding. Others present were Messrs John McAdam, J. Paton, i D. McLaren, Jas. McAdam, D. C. Williams, G. McAdam, J. L. Ensor, R. McAdam, and C. F. Holton. A motion of sympathy was paused with the relatives of Mr Robert Slosb. A letter was received from the Canterbury Colli o Dog Association in reference to making rules for the general betterment of collio dog trials. The letter set out a revised date for all trinls to be held in Canterbury, and suggested that the Cheviot Club hold its next trials in May. Mr R. K. McDougall wrote forwarding a donution _to the club's funds. It was 'decided to purchase the chip heater winch was held on hire and used in the secretary's office at the recent trials. It was suggested that the incoming committee consider the advisability of shifting the yards used for holding the sheep for both the heading events higher up the hill. Messrs V. F. Clilds and D. C. Williams were appointed as the club's delegates to attend th© delegates' meeting to be held in Christchurch on August 12.
