BOWLS.
RETURNED SOLDIERS' CLUB. The third annual meeting of the Returned Soldiers' Association's Bowling Club was held on Monday, when a large number of members was present. The report stated that members took an active part in the club find centre competitions, meeting with pronounced success in the colts' competition. The centre's representatives, Messrs A. Dickson and H. B. Oakey were present, and congratulated the club on its success during the last season. Mr A. Dickson, on behalf of the centre, presented the Colts' Shield and Leggo Gold Bowls. Trophy orders were presented to the prize-winners of the various club competitions. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Dr. J. D. Marks; president, Mr M. F. Barnett; vice-president, Dr. A. C. Sandston; secretary, Mr W. D. Graham; treasurer, Mr L. Turnpenny; green superintendent, Mr T. Marker; delegates to centre. Mr W. J. Chapman; general committee, Messrs Slater, Parnell, Stanley, and McLean, together with the above officers; selector, Mr W. D. Graham: entertainment committee, Messrs Stanley, Parnell, Parsonage, Ellwood. The delegate to the centre was instructed to support the proposal of Mr B. J. Finnegan relative to the pennant competitions, unless a better proposal was submitted.
